TrueNorth™ is a contemporary new brand of 100% natural, great tasting nut snacks made by Frito-Lay. TrueNorth™ snacks are available today in four distinctly different snacking varieties–nut clusters, nut crisps, nut crunches and whole nuts.
In the process of creating a new kind of nut snacking experience, we found our all-consuming passion—our one “true north.” By naming our nut snacks TrueNorth™, we hope to celebrate our passion for nuts and inspire other people to find their own true north.
How is TrueNorth™ different from traditional nut snacks?
At TrueNorth™, we wanted people to be able to enjoy the benefits of traditional nuts in new ways. We start with great-tasting, nutritious almonds, peanuts, pistachios, pecans or walnuts and combine them with unique shapes, textures and tastes to create totally new snacking experiences, all with 100% natural ingredients. The nuts we start with are lower in saturated fat than other nuts, and contain mostly mono and polyunsaturated fats.
How do the TrueNorth™ snacks differ from one another?
All TrueNorth™ snacks are 100% natural and contain 5g of protein per serving. However, each variety comes in a unique form and flavor, giving you snacking options fit for a wide range of occasions and cravings. Some of our snacks are also a good source of fiber.
Gluten is a form of protein found in wheat, rye, and barley. TrueNorth™ Crisps and Peanut Crunches contain wheat. Other TrueNorth™ products do not contain wheat, rye or barley.
According to the FDA, vegan foods do not contain animal products. The TrueNorth™ clusters and whole nuts do not contain animal ingredients of any kind, including dairy.
